There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. I hope you enjoy my site and take a moment to drop me a line. I am still in the process of building my site. Success loves speed, so I published it! The site remains a work in progress, however please reach out with feedback! I am so happy you are here.
I use the Bible App on my phone for inspirational quotes and verses of the day. This version is free from Audible with subscription. If you do not have a bible, cannot afford one and would like one, send me an email and I will make sure you get one. (I will cover the cost, yes...it's that important to me). If you do not know Jesus, this is a great place to start.
This book really helped me open my eyes to my blind spots. We all have them and that's okay! As long as we are in search of a better version of ourselves tomorrow. I am not perfect and this book helped shine light on areas I need improvement AND taught me to give myself grace for my flaws.
I read this book first before all the others. My wife, Kelly and I were married in 2004. A friend of mine at work recommended this book to me. I like that it is written for single and married people. As an enneagram 3w2, I can often get very self centered. Timothy Keller helped me see marriage as Jesus would see another person. IF I put Kelly's best interest in front of my own, and she puts mine in front of hers, (and we trust each other to do so) we are both taken care of better than if we care for ourselves. Like I said, single or married, newly wed or married for years...even if you think "my marriage is great!"- This book still has so much to offer.
As far as mindset about money, I highly recommend this book! It is not at all about numbers or where /how to invest money. We must make room for change in our lives. Any change is naturally uncomfortable, as it's not 'what we have always done.' Even if you come into money, you have to adjust and change your life to allow positive things to happen for you. Otherwise, you just return back to the same ole you.
This book really challenged what I "know" to be true. I did not realize how much of what I have learned throughout my life was handed down by people who thought they knew as well. Not to say these people had ill intent to give me their knowledge, they simply gave me what made sense to them. Don't run in the halls, walk in a single file line, some people have money and some people do not... are all beliefs to be challenged. You may read/listen to this one slowly and think about what the book is saying. Our instinct is to turn away from things that don't make sense with what we think the world is. Give it time to soak in and you may find yourself more patient and understanding of other people and their perspectives.
Why do we make things so much harder than they need to be? Think and Grow Rich is currently helping me realize that life doesn’t need to be as hard as my brain would like to make it. Learn how to set a goal, be consisten, and accept nothing but the best! 5/5 stars!
I recently finished this book in the summer of 2023. It is a compilation of parables that were assembled in the 1920’s on how to earn, save and manage money. I think they still apply today! When the. Audible version started off, I wasn’t that into it, but give it about 20 minutes and it will be hard to put down! I love these timeless classics.
